AI-Readiness for CEOs

Adoption of AI across multiple functions of a business (2024)

If you're a CEO, how much priority you are giving to AI within your organisation?

According to research from Goldman Sachs, AI has the potential to drive a $7 trillion increase in global GDP over a 10-year period.

And the latest research from McKinsey & Company shows the redesign of workflows has the biggest effect on an organization’s ability to see EBIT impact from its use of Gen AI. This redesign of workflows is about getting different functions of the business to work together in a way where AI flows seamlessly from one to another.

👉 78% of businesses surveyed in the McKinsey research have AI being used in at least 1 or more functions. YAWN 😏
👉 45% of businesses have AI being used in at least 3 functions. Not bad 🤨
👉 16% reported AI use in at least 5 functions - WOW 😲 . I'd love to know who they are.

As a CEO, have you run a comprehensive internal assessment of AI adoption across your business. If this is something of interest, we at the The CMO Syndicate have developed an assessment program to:

👉 Identify your AI challenges, opportunities and gaps across all areas
👉 Setup guardrails for the use of AI and implement internal programs
👉 Develop strategic roadmap for AI across your business
👉 Create KPIs to measure the ROI and the true impact of AI

So I have some simple, yet challenging and perhaps a bit uncomfortable questions to ask you CEOs out there:

1️⃣ Which areas of your business are using any AI?
2️⃣ What guardrails have you put in place to protect the business?
3️⃣ What are the productivity gains that you've observed so far from the use of AI?
4️⃣ How much are you investing in AI training programs for your teams?

If you need help answering these questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
